Overview
The fundamental purpose of St John Rigby College is to enable its students to learn and develop academically, socially and spiritually. The following series of commitments from us, the staff of the College, make clear what you can expect in order that this learning and development can take place. Our commitments to you are, of course, worthless if you cannot make a commitment to us. The document that you signed when you accepted your place at the college outlined our expectations to you. These include:
- 100% attendance on all courses
- Hand assignments in to agreed deadlines
- Be respectful of fellow students and staff
- Respect and support the mission of the college
- Respect and look after the college environment and the college campus – no dropping of litter
- Treat resources with care
- Respect the property of other students
- Fully engage in the opportunities available at the college
- Whilst at college no smoking, drinking or drugs
- No chewing gum in the college buildings
- No use of mobile phones in class and classroom areas
If a student can consistently display these qualities then the strength of commitment he or she can expect from staff will ensure success.
