Choice

The College offers a wide range of courses that provide something for everyone. We have an excellent reputation for student success on our A Level and BTEC courses. St John Rigby College offers more than 30 different AS Level courses, available in almost any combination. There are also BTEC courses which provide a mixture of subject knowledge and “hands-on” learning and are perfectly suited to some students. We also offer a range of GCSE subjects that you can choose from to enrich your studies or improve previous grades

Comprehensive personal support

At St John Rigby College we recognise the uniqueness and dignity of each individual. From your first day at College you will have a Personal Tutor who will monitor your progress and encourage you to exceed your target grades. They will meet with you on a regular basis to review your progress and help you set challenging targets. In one to one sessions you will receive advice and guidance to help you manage your time and studies effectively

High standards of teaching and learning

All our teaching staff are highly qualified specialists who are experts in teaching 16 to 19 year olds. They treat you as individuals and give you all the support you need to reach your full potential. Many of our staff are also examiners for their subjects, and this helps them make sure that you are fully prepared for your exams

Excellent facilities

The College has excellent facilities and professional standard equipment in areas such as Graphics, Photography, Music Technology, Science and ICT. There are learning resource areas equipped with the latest computers, a large sports hall and gym and one of the largest synthetic playing surfaces in the country
