Media, Film, Music, Drama or Performance?

Whatever your interests, the Media & Performing Arts Department offers a range of A-Level and Vocational qualifications that will enable you to fulfil your future career plans. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced teachers and examiners who have both academic and industry experience.

The department has a range of facilities including:

  • A suite of Apple Macintosh Computer workstations
  • Recording studio with specialist software
  • A refurbished theatre space with motorised seating
  • A cushioned dance floor and dance space
  • Blackout Media and Film rooms with interactive whiteboards
  • Specialist Media and Film software

A range of extra-curricular activities are offered by the department that include:

  • Visiting speakers,
  • Professionally led dance and drama workshops;
  • Theatrical and musical productions in a variety of venues,
  • Visits to watch performances in the local area.

As part of the enrichment programme, students could be entered for external qualifications including the ABRSM music theory and practical examinations. All subjects offer a variety of Extended Studies courses that enable students to develop their interests and passions in the Arts.
