This year's Summer Arts Festival was held on Monday 27th June, and involved work from all areas of the Arts & Communication Division. The festival included outdoor performances of dance, drama and music, and indoor exhibitions of student work in Art, English, and Media Studies, along with screenings of student films which were produced as part of the Film Studies course. As the event was open to families, face painting was available for the children, while everybody enjoyed the barbeque. The night was rounded off with a number of performances in the theatre.

The event was also the occasion of the inauguration of the Endeavour Award, in memory of tutor Giovanna Mula who sadly passed away last year. This award recognises students who have worked with diligence, industry and effort in the Division of Arts and Communication, and who have made valuable contributions to the College as a whole. Giovanna's husband Adrian presented certificates to the nominees for the award, while the trophy itself went to Charlotte Bowen.

Overall, the evening was a great success, and visitors were greatly impressed by both the range and quality of the student work on display.
