Dance and Performance Studies students went to Stoke on Trent’s Regent Theatre to watch Matthew Bourne’s amazing production of ‘Nutcracker!’.

On its 20th anniversary tour, the show was a spectacular experience of British dance and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. This production is one of three works studied in Performance Studies for the written examination in January.

Bourne’s adaptation of the original ballet lit up the stage with its lavish set and costumes and the strong narrative was clearly driven by the outstanding performance of the cast. Staff and students agreed that it was simply fabulous!
