An exciting Music Technology project has been taking place over the last six weeks at SJR. Year 11 GCSE Music Students from Up Holland High School have been working on a composition task that required them to create an original piece of music to accompany a film or computer game extract.
The High School students had the opportunity to use St John Rigby College’s professional software and were assisted by current St John Rigby students both with the software and with compositional advice.
Mr Roberts (Head of Music at Up Holland) was delighted to have another opportunity to work with St John Rigby College’s Music Department. Michael Cook, Head of Music at St John Rigby, was impressed with the progress pupils made and the outcomes they achieved. Upon completion of the course, St John Rigby College Principal Peter McGhee presented all the pupils with a certificate to acknowledge their achievement..
