The Social Sciences Department at St John Rigby College covers a range of subjects which tell us the fascinating story of the human experience.

Subjects taught by the department include General Studies, Geography, History, Psychology and Sociology, so there is something for almost any interest.The staff are experts in their areas and always available to help and support students.

As well as learning about their subject, social science students get the opportunity to broaden their experience through trips and enrichment activities. In the last two years the department has organised visits to Berlin and Krakow, as well as regular educational trips to Chester and York. If you don't like to travel then drop into one of the enrichment classes and study subjects like criminology or popular culture.
